Auto-immune disease may involve the liver causing an inflammatory condition called auto-immune hepatitis. A range of auto-immune conditions such as scleroderma, lupus, Crohn’s, and Graves thyroid disease may be seen in association with auto-immune hepatitis. It can lead to symptoms of itching, abdominal distension, fatigue, and loss of appetite. The standard of care for treatment is corticosteroids. Without proper treatment cirrhosis (scarring) and liver failure can occur. A recent study indicates the importance of establishing the diagnosis before cirrhosis develops (read more). Ongoing research is underway to study the effects of stem cells on auto-immune conditions.
Auto-Immune Hepatitis and OC Regenerative Medicine
As part of the CELL SURGICAL NETWORK we offer a specific SVF deployment protocol that attempts to mitigate the effects of hepatitis. SVF (rich in mesenchymal stem cells and growth factors) has immuno-regulatory and anti-inflammatory properties which may be beneficial. SVF is deployed systemically as an outpatient at the time of SVF harvesting and procurement. The entire cellular surgical procedure takes approximately three hours.
At OC Regenerative Medicine we truly care about our Auto-immune Hepatitis patients. We take the time to provide our patients with what they need to achieve their goals. By filling out Confidential Candidate Application, we will answer the questions and concerns you may have about our protocols for Auto-immune Hepatitis.
